Consciousness and the Search for Reality is a book which explores consciousness and spirituality within a framework of esoteric Christianity and the Work of The Fourth Way. The book explores the author's personal experiences to illustrate and highlight many of the key concepts of these frameworks.
The chapters on faith and the importance of intentional effort to grow spiritually were particularly powerful. This is a great book for anyone interested in spiritual development and how this connects to life after death, from both a conceptual and personal perspective.

Sydney, AustraliaThe author has carefully considered their audience’s varied backgrounds by speaking gently and plainly for those of us without an academic background (like myself). They walk you through a personal intimate journey that was hard to put down and rather thought provoking.
Totally recommend Consciousness and the Search for Reality.

Sydey, AustraliaConsciousness and the Search for Reality is a journey into both esoteric Christianity and spirituality more generally. From quite an early age, the author experienced intimations of otherness, and of being on the threshold of something greater than our earthly world. She sought to explore this more deeply under the guidance of her teacher, Dr Philip W Groves.
The book is well-researched and includes references to other exponents of this knowledge such as G. I. Gurdjieff, Emanuel Swedenborg, Carl Jung and many others. For me, the author’s narrations of her personal experience were most compelling, and helpful in grasping matters that are often difficult to find words for.
I’d recommend this book to searchers and all who seek something other.

Sydney, AustraliaConsciousness and the Search for Reality is a book which approaches consciousness and spirituality from a distinctive angle, drawing on the Fourth Way tradition and esoteric Christianity to examine what it means to live a spiritually awake life today. I appreciated how the author weaves together personal experiences — including time spent in a Work-focused school — with insights from writers like Swedenborg. The mix of memoir and spiritual commentary gives the book both emotional depth and intellectual weight.
The sections on inner work and self-observation were especially compelling, and I think readers who enjoy exploring the intersection of psychology, spirituality, and Western esoteric traditions will get a lot out of it. While the subject matter is niche, the book remains accessible and offers practical reflections alongside its more philosophical discussions.

Sydney, AustraliaConsciousness and the Search for Reality is a book which explores consciousness and spirituality within an esoteric Christian framework. The author is influenced by the work of Emmanuel Swedenborg and Philip W. Groves and uses key events from her own life to demonstrate principles of the Work.
For many years she attended a school which taught the Work and she demonstrates how it’s possible to live an active spiritual life in western modernity. For anyone interested in growth and spiritual development, this is an intellectually rich, practical and useful book.
